Mit Vyas – Managing Director
Early on, Mit started his career as a process engineer for Toyota where he learned and applied the Toyota Production System (TPS). He then joined an accelerated sales leadership program for Ingersoll Rand where he sold industrial equipment in the US and Mexico. Mit went on to lead operations improvement initiatives across 13 divisions of Zodiac Aerospace in Canada, Mexico, Brazil, France, and Tunisia. At Zodiac, Mit was promoted to direct manager for a group of 10 manufacturing engineers in product development and serial production.
After working for large corporations, Mit grew a passion for helping entrepreneurs achieve their dreams. He founded Gemba Automation with the goal of using continuous improvement principles to achieve business results. Gemba Automation has helped customers in software, medical devices, fashion, and construction develop profitable and sustainable businesses.
Mit holds a degree in Mechanical Engineering from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona.
When not working, you can usually find Mit with his wife, traveling internationally and immersing themselves in the local culture.
Daniel Perez – Manufacturing Engineer
Daniel started his career working as an Industrial Engineer for Bose Corporation, where he started to apply lean concepts and standard work. He then joined Zodiac Aerospace as a Manufacturing Engineer, helping the company transfer production lines to Tunisia and Mexico, documenting manufacturing processes and standard work. He also helped set up the manufacturing floor layout for the Garden Grove, CA facility. Daniel applied lean concepts throughout his tenure at Zodiac, helping the company save more than $200,000. Daniel joined General Atomics Aeronautical Systems back in 2015, and is currently working as the Quality Manager for the cables manufacturing area, with 4 quality engineers and 12 inspectors under his guidance.
Daniel holds a B.S. in Industrial and Systems engineering and Master of Engineering Management from Tec de Monterrey, Mexico. Daniel obtained his Six Sigma Black Belt from the University of San Diego, and is an ASQ Certified Quality Engineer.
Daniel has expertise in composites manufacturing, wire harness assemblies, circuit cards. He holds knowledge in IPC610, IPC620, ISO 9001:2015, AS9100.
Riley McElroy – Application Engineer
Riley is a distinguished, creative engineer dedicated to delivering outstanding results with a broad range of experience in engineering, manufacturing, leadership, and sales management.
Riley is originally from Nebraska, but has spent the past seven years living in Oregon and exploring the west coast. His hobbies include surfing, riding mountain bikes, and international travel.
Fernando Montoya – Automation Engineer
Fernando has more than five years of experience in design and validation of equipment automated for high volume production in the automotive industry.
He has worked for medical and automotive companies where he was responsible for creating and building a variety of automated machines and performing control engineering duties. Fernando has creativity, attention to details, troubleshooting abilities and good communication aptitude.
Fernando holds a B.S. in Mechatronic Engineering, with diplomas in Project Management and Six Sigma Green Belt.
His hobbies include spending time with family, playing soccer and football, and going to the movies.
